If your club's structure changes, for example a Section gets renamed at the club level, you can update its name or description any time without affecting the Groups nested inside it.
Go to the Groups screen and tap Manage.
Find the Section, then tap the ⋮ menu on its row. A popover appears with Edit Section (pencil icon) and Delete Section (red trash icon).
Tap Edit Section. The Edit Section bottom sheet slides up, pre-filled with the current name and description.
Edit the Section Name (up to 40 characters, shown as a live "X/40" counter) and/or the Section Description (up to 120 characters, "X/120").
Tap Save Changes.
The sheet closes and the updated name appears immediately in the Manage Groups list.
Note: Editing a Section's name or description never affects the Groups nested inside it.
If you tap the × to close the sheet after making changes, you'll see: "You have unsaved changes. Are you sure you want to close?" Tapping Save Changes without changing anything closes the sheet with no update sent, since there's nothing new to save.
FAQ
What happens if I rename my Section to match another one?
You'll see: "A section with this name already exists in this club. Consider using a unique name." Unlike when you're creating a new Section, duplicate names aren't allowed on edit, you'll need to choose a different name to save.
Why is Save Changes greyed out?
The Section Name field can't be empty. If you clear it completely, Save Changes stays disabled until you enter a name again.
What if another admin edited this Section at the same time as me?
Your save will be rejected with: "This section was recently updated. Please review the latest changes." Reopen the sheet to see the current version before editing again.
