If a Section no longer reflects how your club is organized, you can delete it. Deleting a Section removes only the container, every Group nested inside it is preserved and simply becomes standalone.
Go to the Groups screen and tap Manage.
Find the Section, then tap the ⋮ menu on its row.
Tap Delete Section (shown in red with a trash icon).
A confirmation modal appears with the warning: "All Groups within this section will remain as Standalone Groups." Tap Delete Section to confirm, or Cancel to back out.
Once confirmed, the Section disappears from the Manage Groups list immediately, and its Groups reappear as standalone items in the same list.
Important: Deletion is permanent. There's no undo, so double check you've selected the right Section. The modal can't be dismissed by tapping outside it, you have to explicitly choose Cancel or Delete Section.
FAQ
Will I lose any members if I delete a Section?
No. Every Group that was nested inside keeps all its members and data. Only the Section container itself is removed.
Can I delete a Section with no Groups in it?
Yes, the same confirmation flow applies whether the Section is empty or full.
What if someone else already deleted this Section?
You'll see: "This section has already been deleted." The list refreshes to show the current state.
