How to Add and View Custom Attributes on a Member's Profile

How club admins can add club-specific information to a member's profile using custom attributes, for details not covered by PLAI's standard fields.

If your club needs to track something PLAI doesn't have a built-in field for, like a jersey number, custom attributes let you capture it directly on a member's profile.

Adding a custom attribute

  1. Open the member's profile and scroll to the Custom Attributes section on the Profile tab.

  2. Tap Add Custom Attribute.

  3. Enter or select an attribute name (for example "Jersey Number") and its value. Both fields are required.

  4. Tap Save.

The attribute appears in the Custom Attributes section right away, no refresh needed, and is visible to every admin of the club.

Note: Custom attributes are visible to club admins only, not to the member themselves, unless the platform is set up to expose them. They're separate from standard profile fields and don't affect membership logic, payments, or permissions.

Editing and deleting attributes

Once created, attributes can be edited to update their value, or deleted, both from the same Custom Attributes section.

FAQ

Is there a limit to how many custom attributes I can add per member?

There's no platform-defined cap.

What happens if I add the same attribute name twice for one member?

This depends on platform policy, some setups block duplicates, others allow multiple entries with the same name.
