Creating an event has 2 parts: 3 short required steps to set the event's identity, then a hub where you configure who can attend and any optional extras.
Step 1: Event details
Tap Create Event on the Events tab.
Enter the event name, start date and time, and end date and time. All 4 fields are required.
Tap Next.
Note: End date and time must be after the start. You will see an inline error if it is not.
Step 2: Event type
Select the event's type: Match, Tournament, Training, Social, Race, Tour, or Other. This determines the event's colour coding across the app. Tap Next.
Step 3: Location
Choose 1 of 2 options:
Search for address
Search and select a result from the map based address lookup.
Pick a club facility
Facilities filtered by your event's date and time appear, with available ones listed first.
Select an available facility. The slot is blocked automatically for your event's duration.
Tip: If a facility you want is not currently accepting bookings, you can reopen it specifically for this event without changing its global settings. If a member already has a booking on that slot, you can override it, this cancels their booking and notifies them, so use it deliberately.
Once location is set, you land on the Create Event hub.
Step 4: Who can attend
This is the only required setting on the hub. Tap Who can attend and choose 1 of 2 modes.
Auto accept
Select at least 1 group (required).
Optionally set an event capacity, a minimum attendance, and whether to track attendance.
Tap Save.
Members can respond and are confirmed immediately, no admin approval needed. If capacity is reached, further responses go to a waitlist automatically.
Selection mode
Select at least 1 group.
Optionally set minimum attendance and track attendance.
Tap Save.
Members declare their availability (Available, Maybe, Not available), and you manually confirm the final team from that pool before responses lock in.
Note: Turning on Show on Club Website lets non members view the event on your club's public website. Only members of the groups you selected can respond, everyone else sees it read only.
Creating the event
Once Who can attend is saved, the Create Event button activates. Tap it to publish.
If you need to step away partway through, tap Save as Draft at any point, your progress is kept and you can pick up from Step 3 when you come back.
For optional extras like payment, reminders, recurrence, and duty holders, see the related articles below.
FAQ
Why can't I reach the hub without finishing the location step?
All 3 wizard steps (details, type, location) are mandatory before the hub becomes available, there is no way to skip location.
I changed my event's date after picking a facility. What happened to my facility selection?
Changing the event date after selecting a facility clears that selection, since the facility's availability was checked against the original date. You will need to re-select it.
