Collecting a fee for an event is optional and configured from the Create Event hub, under Collect fee.
Turning on fee collection
Tap the Collect fee row on the hub.
Toggle Collect fees on. It is off by default.
If your club has not connected Stripe yet, the Stripe activation flow opens. This happens once per club, not once per event.
If Stripe is already connected, you will see your connected account in a dropdown. Select which account should receive this event's fee.
Enter the fee amount.
Tap Save.
Choosing when members pay
3 payment timing options are available:
Pay when responding. The member pays as soon as they respond Going or Available.
Pay on selection. Nothing is charged at RSVP. The member is only charged once you confirm them as part of the selected team. This option only appears when Who can attend is set to Selection mode.
Pay after attending. The member is only charged after you mark them as attended and confirm it. There is a 24 hour grace period before payment becomes overdue.
Note: Pay after attending requires Track Attendance to be turned on under Who can attend. If it is off, you will see a warning and be asked to turn it on before saving.
Members who are never selected, or never attend, are never charged, regardless of which timing you choose.
FAQ
Can different events for the same club use different Stripe accounts?
Yes, your club can have multiple Stripe accounts, and you choose which one receives each event's fee individually.
What happens if I switch from Selection mode to Auto accept after setting Pay on selection?
Pay on selection is removed since it only applies to Selection mode, and the timing resets to Pay when responding. You will need to choose a new timing.
What if a member's payment is waived?
Waived payments are recorded as "Waived" in the treasury module, they are tracked separately from paid or refunded amounts.
