Know your guest names, dietary issues, their in-house status, and meal plans
Planniac's Restaurant Report is meant for Front-of-House operations. We recommend leaving it continuously open on a host or POS terminal or tablet so that hosts and servers can quickly find the guest details they need.
Guest names
Each guest in a room is listed (these should be input in the GUESTS screen). This way, it's a little easier to sort out room charges if it's not the primary guest signing the check.
Allergy warning
Whether it's a severe allergy, an intolerance or even just a preference, many guests have issues that will affect their health and happiness. The red symbol, when clicked, opens a popup that gives your servers specific details if they were entered in to the guest record earlier (normally by the Front Desk).
Room Name
Getting checks posted to the wrong room is challenging to sort out sometimes. So getting it right in the first place is important.
Package
If a package like "Breakfast Included" is shown, your servers can be confident to follow the procedures you have in place for zero-charge meals.
Account Status and Room Status
This lets servers know whether guests are checking out soon so they can ensure all checks are properly billed to rooms before the guest pays their folio charges.
Accessing the report
This report is formatted for a tablet sized screen in portrait orientation but can also be viewed on a phone in landscape orientation and is accessed by logging on with a restaurant email address (does not need to be a real address) and the password set by the administrator. A separate login with a kitchen email address shows an allergy display for the kitchen listing all rooms and guests who have reported allergies or dietary requirements.
