Overview
Platter POS supports two methods for creating Takeout and Delivery orders, depending on your restaurant workflow. Both methods allow staff to quickly create, send, and finalize off-premise orders while ensuring accurate billing, tax application, and tracking.
Restaurants may also configure dedicated prices or taxes for Takeout and Delivery items.
Prerequisites
Before creating Takeout or Delivery orders, ensure:
A Takeout and Delivery table exists in your Floor Plan.
Menus and items are properly configured and visible on the POS.
If using separate pricing, items have Takeout/Delivery prices set in the Back Office.
Staff have permission to create new orders.
Steps
1. Using the Takeout Screen
Log in to the Platter Restaurant POS application.
Tap the Takeout button from the left navigation bar.
Tap New Order.
Choose the order type:
Takeout
Delivery
Once you choose one of the two options, enter:
Customer name
Phone number
Estimated time
Tap Take Order.
Select the required items.
Tap Send Order to send the items to the kitchen.
Tap Checkout.
Select the payment method and process the payment.
