Getting to the calendar page:
You can get to the calendar page by clicking on the "Calendar" button on the left sidebar:
Changing the calendar view
The calendar page gives you the option to view all your events each month, week or day. There is also an "Agenda" view that allows you to view all the events/sessions/activities without any spaces for blank days. You can navigate between these view in the top right of the page:

Adding a new event/session/activity
You can add a new event in 2 different ways:
Clicking the "+" button in the top right
Clicking on an empty space in the calendar, and then adding a name, start time and end time for the event
Once you do either of these, you will be taken through a 7 step process to help you create your events/sessions/activities.
Step 1 - What is the name of the event/activity?
This is what you call the event/session/activity. It can be whatever you want to call it, as long as it makes sense to you and your team!
Step 2 - Do you want to take bookings for this through plinth?
plinth takes online bookings for you if you would like. If you do want to do that, select yes, if not, just click no.
Step 3 - What day does it start?
If it is a one-off, this is the day the event/session/activity happens. If it is a series of events/sessions/activities, then this will be the day of the first event/session/activity that you want to record on plinth.
Step 4 - What time is it happening?
This is the time the event/session/activity happened.
Step 5 - How often does this event/activity happen?
Is your event/session/activity part of a series? If yes, plinth will automatically populate the calendar with all of the dates in the future it happens. If it is a one-off, select that box.
Step 6 - Where is this hosted?
This is the venue the event/session/activity happened in.
Step 7 - What tags should this event have?
This is what tags you would like to give the event/session/activity. Remember that tags are very important for reporting and categorising everything across the system.
Once you have gone through all of the steps - your session should be setup. All the details should be on the top row and look like this:
Changing existing events/sessions/activities
If you want to change an existing event, you need to click on the event on the calendar. A popup will appear with a few more details about the event:
If you click anywhere in coloured top-half (or click the pencil icon), it will redirect you to the same event/session/activity page you saw when you created an event/session/activity, but the details will already be filled in:
If you make any changes on this page, make sure you save them before you leave.
For recurring events, you won't be able to change the day/date when it happens. For example, if you have a series of events/sessions/activities that happen every Wednesday, you can't change an individual session to happen on a Thursday. If you need to do this, you can use the bin icon on the right to delete just this session.

Deleting an event/session/activity
If you try to delete an event, you will always be shown a confirmation popup (so you don't need to worry about clicking the delete button by mistake). For one-off events, this popup only has a "Delete" and a "Cancel" button. For recurring events it can be a bit more complicated:
You will have 3 options to delete:
This event
This and following events
All events
Using "This event" is helpful if the session on that particular day was cancelled (e.g. if it was half term or the holidays).
"This and following events" is useful if this event has now stopped. You can go to the session after the last one and use this option and then the event will stop appearing on your calendar after that point.
"All events" is helpful if this activity never happened (e.g. if it was added by mistake).
Customising the calendar
If you have a lot of events, the calendar page can get a bit cluttered. You can add some filters to help make it easier to understand. These can either be for particular venues, or for "Tags":
