Slot Blockers let you block off specific time on your studio calendar, making it completely unavailable for clients to book. Whether you need time for maintenance, personal projects, cleaning, holidays, or just a break — this tool makes sure that availability respects your schedule.

They work at the Room level, and override availability, even if your studio appears open during that time.

🔍 Where to find it:

Admin Panel → Slot Blockers
Or:
Create New → New Slot Blocker

🛠 How to Create a Slot Blocker:

  1. Click New Slot Blocker

  2. Choose the Room (each blocker is tied to one room)

  3. Add a Title (for internal reference only)

  4. Set the Start Date & Time and End Date & Time

  5. Save

✅ Once created, that block of time becomes fully unavailable in your booking flow — clients won’t see it, and can’t book over it.

💡 Use Cases:

  • Studio maintenance or cleaning time

  • Personal use or creative testing

  • Employee breaks

  • External bookings or private sessions handled outside Podyx

  • Holidays or last-minute closures

  • Preparing the room for a specific setup

🧠 Think of Slot Blockers as your "do not disturb" sign for a room — flexible, manual, and always respected.

  • Edit or delete any blocker at any time

  • Blockers are visible on your calendar view

  • You can stack multiple blockers across rooms if needed

  • Use Zapier to automate Slot Blockers from external calendar events (see: Zapier Integration article)

✅ Summary:

Slot Blockers are your manual override — a fast, simple way to block out time and make sure no one can book during it. Whether you’re scheduling downtime, prepping the space, or just need to protect your calendar, Slot Blockers give you total control.

You set the boundaries. Podyx enforces them.
