Why This Matters

Running a studio means staying on top of what’s happening, where it’s happening, and when, without juggling multiple tools.

With the new Podyx In-App Calendar, your entire schedule lives directly inside Podyx. More importantly, it’s not just a read-only view, it’s a fully operational calendar where you can manage sessions in real time.

This update establishes Podyx as the single source of truth for studio scheduling, reducing reliance on external tools like Google Calendar while laying the foundation for more advanced workflows in the future.

🗓️ Centralized Calendar View

You now have an in-app calendar that displays all booking-related events directly inside Podyx.

Available views:

  • Day

  • Week

  • Month

This allows you to move seamlessly between high-level planning and day-to-day operational detail.

✏️ Manage Sessions Directly from the Calendar

The calendar is fully interactive. By clicking on any event, you can:

  • Reschedule a session

  • Cancel a session

  • Delete a session

  • Add or modify add-ons for an existing booking

This removes the need to jump between tabs or tools — last-minute changes and client requests can now be handled in one place.

🔍 Filter by Room

Studios with multiple rooms can filter the calendar by specific room, making it easier to:

  • Focus on one space at a time

  • Prepare rooms for upcoming sessions

  • Share a room-specific view with collaborators

⏱️ Buffer Time Visibility

Buffer times are clearly displayed within the calendar, helping you:

  • Avoid accidental overlaps

  • Plan setup, teardown, and turnaround time

  • Trust the calendar for daily operations

🔥 Month View Heatmap

In Month view, booking density is visualized through a heatmap, allowing you to instantly identify:

  • Fully booked days

  • Lighter days with availability

  • Demand patterns over time

This is especially useful for capacity planning, staffing, and promotional decisions.

🏷️ Visual Booking Indicators

To improve scanability and speed, the calendar includes visual indicators that show:

  • Whether a session is individual or part of a bundle

  • Whether internal booking notes are present

Clicking any event opens full details and available actions instantly.

🔗 Shareable Public Calendar Link

Studios can generate a public, view-only calendar link for external visibility.

Key details:

  • The shared calendar is read-only

  • You can filter and share the calendar for a specific room only

  • Ideal for:

    • Team members

    • Front-desk or operations staff

    • Partners or collaborators who need visibility but not admin access

Why This Is an Important Step

This calendar MVP is intentionally focused on clarity, reliability, and operational trust.

By consolidating scheduling directly inside Podyx, studios gain:

  • One consistent view of all bookings

  • Fewer dependencies on external calendars

  • Faster response to changes and client requests

It also creates a strong foundation for future enhancements across analytics, automation, and workflow management.

🧠 In Short

The Podyx In-App Calendar gives you:

  • A centralized, reliable schedule inside Podyx

  • Full session management (reschedule, cancel, delete, add add-ons)

  • Clear visibility across days, weeks, rooms, and months

  • A shareable, read-only calendar for external collaborators
