🗓 Your Podyx Plan

What happens to your plan when you cancel, miss a payment, or return after a break.

Written by Marko Marjanovic

Who this is for: studio owners and billing contacts · Product: Podyx V2

This article covers how your Podyx plan works after sign-up — what happens if you change plan, cancel, miss a payment, or come back after a break.

🔀 Changing plan mid-cycle

You can move between plans at any point in a billing period. The two directions behave differently, and deliberately so:

Direction

When it takes effect

What you are charged

Upgrade

Immediately

The difference is invoiced on the spot

Downgrade

At the end of the period you have already paid for

Nothing now — the new lower rate starts at the next renewal

💡 So upgrading gets you the features straight away and you pay for the remainder of the period. Downgrading never takes away something you have already paid for — you keep the higher plan until the period runs out.

❌ What happens when I cancel?

Cancelling keeps your plan running until the end of the period you have already paid for — however you cancelled it, whether from your own settings or by asking us to do it. You will not be charged again, and you keep full access until that date. Nothing shuts off the moment you cancel.

⚠️ This covers plans you choose to cancel. A plan cancelled because of non-payment follows the suspension path below instead, and access is not carried through to the end of the period.

💳 What happens if a payment fails?

If a payment cannot be collected, Podyx gives you time to sort it out. Here is the timeline:

  1. The failed payment is logged and the studio owner is emailed one week later with a prompt to update billing. Team members with billing access also see a banner in the CMS.

  2. You have a 14-day grace period to resolve the issue. During this time everything keeps working normally.

  3. If payment is still not resolved after the grace period, the studio enters suspension.

⏸ What does suspension mean?

During suspension:

  • Your public booking site stays up — clients can still find you.

  • New bookings and purchases are paused — clients cannot book or buy until the account is restored.

  • Paying immediately restores full access. The moment a successful payment goes through, everything is active again.

🔒 What happens after 30 days suspended?

If the account stays suspended for 30 days, the plan moves to hold. On hold, the studio is fully inactive. If the hold continues for 6 months, the plan is cancelled automatically.

🔄 Returning after a break?

Studios coming back after cancellation or a long pause are billed on current new-studio terms — the same pricing that applies to studios signing up today. If pricing has changed since you were last active, the new rate applies when you restart.

🆓 What happens at the end of a free trial?

When your free trial ends, Podyx shows you the available plan options so you can choose the one that fits before anything is charged. Nothing rolls over automatically without your input.

✅ Summary

Upgrades take effect immediately and invoice the difference; downgrades wait until the period you have paid for runs out. Cancelling by choice keeps access until the end of that period, however you cancelled. A failed payment triggers a billing email to the owner, a banner for billing-access team members, and a 14-day grace period before suspension. Suspension keeps your public site up but pauses bookings — and clears the moment you pay. After 30 days suspended the plan goes on hold; after 6 months on hold it is cancelled. Returning studios are billed at current new-studio rates. Free trials end with a plan selection screen, not an automatic charge.
