When you enable the Persona add-on in Polar Analytics, you have the option to work with our team to sync your enriched customer data to Klaviyo. Once this enrichment is completed, two new custom properties are automatically added to customer profiles in your “Faraday Data Sync” list:
POLAR_PERSONA_ID – A unique identifier for each persona segment
POLAR_PERSONA_NAME – A readable name for the persona (e.g., “High-Value Repeat Buyers,” “First-Time Trendsetters”)
These properties give you powerful new ways to segment your audience, personalize messaging, and automate campaigns in Klaviyo.
💡 If the property value is None, it means we weren’t able to enrich that profile with a persona.
1. Build Segments Based on Persona
The most common way to use persona data in Klaviyo is to create targeted audience segments. This allows you to send campaigns tailored to specific types of customers.
How to do it:
Go to Audience → Lists & Segments in Klaviyo.
Click Create Segment.
Set your conditions based on persona properties. For example:
Properties about someone > POLAR_PERSONA_NAME > equals > High-Value Repeat Buyers
Properties about someone > POLAR_PERSONA_ID > equals > persona_1234
Example use cases:
Send a loyalty campaign only to “High-Value Repeat Buyers.”
Re-engage “Dormant Deal Seekers” with a special discount.
Launch new products to “Trendsetters” first for early feedback.
3. Trigger Automated Flows by Persona
You can also use persona data to trigger automated flows, ensuring the right message reaches the right audience at the right time.
How to do it:
Go to Flows → Create Flow in Klaviyo.
Choose Segment Trigger as the flow type.
Select a segment based on persona properties (created as described above).
Build the flow tailored to that persona’s needs and preferences.
Example use cases:
Welcome flow: Onboard “First-Time Trendsetters” with style guides and recommendations.
Loyalty flow: Reward “High-Value Repeat Buyers” with early access to new products.
Reactivation flow: Win back “Dormant Deal Seekers” with time-limited offers.
