Overview
Integrating your Criteo account with Polar enables you to centralize performance insights, optimize your ad spend, and unify marketing reporting. Prerequisites – What You’ll Need
Before connecting, ensure:
You are assigned either an Admin or Connector role in Polar
You have your Crieto Client ID and Client Secret ID
Your Criteo account contains active campaign data—Polar will only ingest data if there’s activity to analyze.
Create Your API Credentials
Go to the Criteo Developer Portal.
Sign in and navigate to My Apps, then click Create New App.
Name your app (description and image are optional).
Under Authentication, choose Client Credentials.
Under Service, select Marketing Solutions and next.
In the Authorization section:
Set each required permission to Read Access.
Click Activate App.
Under App Credentials, click Create New Key. This will download a
.txt
file containing your Client ID and Client Secret—save this to connect.
Authorize Portfolio Access via Consent URL
To grant Polar permission to access specific Criteo accounts:
In the Developer Portal, click Create new consent URL.
Copy the URL and open it in your browser.
Select the portfolios/accounts you want to grant access to and click Approve.
If approval fails, forward the URL to an account admin for completion.
How to Connect Criteo in Polar
Go to your Connectors tab in Polar Analytics.
Locate and select the Criteo connector.
Paste your Client ID and Client Secret into the appropriate fields.
The Client ID and Client Secret were downloaded in the
.txt
file
Click Connect.
Polar will begin syncing Criteo data immediately. The first sync takes 24 hours.
Customization
Once Criteo is connected, you can configure the following settings directly in Polar:
Currency: Align this with your Criteo account to ensure accurate ROAS and spend metrics.
Report Timezone: Use the same timezone setting as in your Criteo reports to maintain consistency in daily metrics.
