Before setting up a connector, make sure that your Criteo account has active data so that Polar can pull insights into the app.

Steps to Set Up the Criteo Connector

  1. Access the Criteo Connector:

    • Go to your Connectors page in Polar Analytics.

    • Find and select the Criteo connector.

  2. Create Your Client ID and Client Secret:

    • Before clicking Connect, you’ll need a Client ID and Client Secret from Criteo Developers. Follow the steps below to create them:

Setting Up Polar on Criteo Developers

  1. To begin, visit the Criteo Developer Portal landing page and click on "Get Started".

  2. Create your organization and add a new app:

    • Give your app a name (a description and image are optional).

  3. Select Authentication Type:

    • Choose Client Credentials as the authentication method.

  4. Configure Marketing Solutions:

    • Select Marketing Solutions, then click Next.

  5. Set Authorization Levels:

    • In the Authorization section, change all access levels from “No Access” to Read, and click Activate app.

  6. Generate App Credentials:

    • Under App Credentials, click Create new key. Criteo will generate a file containing your Client ID and Client Secret—save this file, as it will only be generated once.

  7. Create a Consent URL:

    • Click Create new consent URL, then copy the URL and open it in your browser.

    • Under Portfolio Access, select the accounts you want to connect and click Approve.
If the approval doesn’t work, you may need to send the link to your account administrator for approval.

  8. Connect to Polar Analytics:

    • Return to Polar Analytics and enter your Client ID and Client Secret in the Criteo Connector setup fields. You’ll find these details in the file downloaded earlier.

Final Step

Once you’ve entered the credentials, the data will start loading into Polar Analytics.
