When you join Poparide, you’ll create a profile that helps other members learn more about you, whether you’re a driver or a passenger.
Why your profile matters
Your profile helps create a safe and trustworthy experience for everyone on Poparide. By sharing real details about yourself, you:
build trust with other members
help ensure a safe carpooling experience
contribute to the sense of transparency that Poparide is built on
Your profile includes your name, a short bio, and—most importantly—a clear and recognizable profile picture. Make sure your photo is a clear picture of yourself where you can be easily identified. This helps other members feel more comfortable booking a trip with you.
Once you start using Poparide, your profile will also include ratings and reviews from trips, which are essential for building trust.
Driver profiles
If you’re a driver, you must verify your driver’s license in your Poparide account before you can drive people. This verification helps make sure that all drivers have a valid, up-to-date license and promotes safety across the platform. Find out more about verification here.
Once your driver’s license is verified, a badge will appear on your profile to let passengers know that you’ve completed this important step. Passengers can also view your driving history and ratings and reviews from other members to help them make an informed decision when booking a trip.
Use your own profile
You must use your own profile when using Poparide. Sharing your profile with friends or family is not allowed because it can cause confusion and disrupt the trust and safety within the Poparide community.
When other members meet you for a trip, they need to be able to recognize you from your profile. If your friends or family members want to use Poparide, they can create their own profile for free.
Profile visibility and privacy
Your profile is only viewable by other members once they are logged into the Poparide app. We don’t share any information about you beyond what you provide in your profile, except for your phone number, which is only shared with other members when a trip is confirmed.

Keep your profile up to date
To maintain community trust, make sure your profile information is always current. This includes updating your profile picture if it no longer represents you, your bio and any other personal details. Keeping your profile accurate helps ensure smooth and transparent interactions for both drivers and passengers and ensures they can recognize you during pick-up.
