This article applies to Proposals using the October 2023 release of the "Contracts" module.
Add Existing Devices
When we add existing devices to a contract using E-Automate or if add existing devices manually, PREO will create a Meter Group called "Existing Devices" for us to load the volume.
The Base CPC Cost for Existing Devices is set automatically using the default service costs configured by your Regional Administrator.
Set a Custom CPC Rate for Existing Devices
PREO does not have a way to automatically create a blended rate cost based on your existing device mix. However, you may request a revised CPC cost to more accurately reflect your existing device mix.
To request a CPC Cost update on Existing Devices:
Click the Actions Menu > Edit
Check the box for Custom Cost, Set your desired CPC rate, and click Save
This will initiate a Request for Meter Rate approval. Type a reason for the request and click Submit Request.
The custom rate will be used on your proposal, but the Meter Price Request must be approved before the Proposal can be submitted.
Add Color Meter to Existing Device
PREO may not know that the existing device you have added has a Color Meter. For each existing device that has a color meter, check the "Color" box. This will add the existing device to the Color Meter Group.
NOTE: PREO is limited to using B&W and Color meters only on existing devices. We cannot add existing devices to special meters such as Color 2, Color XL, etc. Consider adding a service pool and using a "Misc Charge" for existing devices with special meters.
Add Existing Device on Flat Rate Contract
By default, Existing Devices are added to a CPC contract. If enabled by your Region, you may set Existing Devices to a flat rate meter. To add an Existing Device on a flat rate meter check the "Flat Rate" box. PREO will automatically add or update the Flat Rate Pool and adjust the quantity of devices in the CPC and Flat Rate Pools. If the device is selected as "Color", the device will be added to a Color and B&W Flat Rate pool.
