How to determine which options to choose when building a Service or MPS Agreement

When building a Service or MPS Agreement in PREO, you will have three options;

  1. New

  2. Add

  3. Replace/Rewrite

If you are unsure of which option to choose based on your situation, follow the guidelines laid out below.

New

You should use the 'New' option in the following situations:

  • Adding a device with a new contract (Net New Customer).

  • Adding revenue in a new revenue bucket (no prior Service/MPS contract).

Add

You should use the "Add" option in the following situations:

  • Adding a new device to an existing contract without removing an existing Xerox device (New Placement).

  • Adding a customer owned device that is not currently on a service contract.

Replace/Rewrite

You should use the 'Replace/Rewrite' option in the following situations:

  • Any change in CPC rates

  • Any change in Flat Rate Price

  • Any situation where a contract rewrite is needed

  • Any upgrade of a device where a new device is replacing an existing device on contract.

Regardless of the option you choose, we encourage all users to also utilize the "Comments" field to include anything that needs to explained in more detail on the agreement.
