Need to add software items to your proposal? You can do this by putting in a Request For Assistance to your Software Overlay.
First, head to Order Processing > Requests from the left navigation on the proposal view.
Next, click the button that is labelled "New Request"
You should now see a menu of options with different request types. Look for the option that says "Request Software" under the Overlay Assistance section. You may need to scroll down depending on your screen resolution.
Use the description field to tell your Software Overlay what it is you are ultimately looking for. You may know the exact product, or you can explain the problem and they can recommend a solution. After you have completed the description, hit the "submit request" button.
If at this point you receive an error that reads "ERROR: SOFTWARE OVERLAY" that means that either you have not saved the proposal yet, or there is no software overlay set on your PREO account. Try hitting "save" on the proposal to apply your overlay and if you still receive the error, you can chat PREObot with this error message and our team will be able to assist.
Once your Software Overlay receives your request they will have the ability to add software items as well as their costs and a scope of work to your proposal. This will all be done on the "Software" tab on the left navigation.
You can collaborate with your Software Overlay by sending them a note through the Order Processing > Chat. Tag them by typing "@" followed by their name.
