Service & MPS Contracts: Add To Existing vs. Cancel / Add New

How to determine which options to choose when building a Service or MPS Agreement

When building a Service or MPS Agreement in PREO, you will have two options;

  1. Add to an existing contract

  2. Cancel an existing contract and create a new one (default option)

If you are unsure of which option to choose based on your situation, follow the guidelines laid out below.

Add To Existing

You should use the "Add To Existing" option in the following situations:

  • Increase or decrease volume of an existing contract but CPC rates stay the same (results in a change of monthly base amount)

  • Add or remove flat rate devices but per device cost stays the same (results in change of monthly base amount)

  • Add devices to existing agreement, without a change in volume or price

Cancel / Add New

You should use the standard "Cancel / Add New" option in the following situations:

  • Any change in CPC rates

  • Any change in Flat Rate Price

  • Any situation where a contract rewrite is needed

Regardless of the option you choose, we encourage all users to also utilize the "Comments" field to include anything that needs to explained in more detail on the agreement:
