Yes, PreOrder Now (PON) supports Partial Payment for preorders.
This feature allows customers to pay a portion of the total cost upfront and the remaining balance later. As a merchant, you can choose between two types of partial payment options:
Fixed Amount Deposit
Percentage Deposit
Note: Partial Payment can only be set up under custom settings.
How to Set Up Partial Payment Using the New Selling Plan
1. Enable Shopify Purchase Options
Go to “Settings” > “Default Settings.”
Ensure “Shopify Purchase Options” is enabled.
2. Configure Partial Payment on the Product
Go to “Products.”
Click on the preorder variant for which you want to offer partial payment.
Scroll to the “Partial Payment” section and configure it according to your preference.
Click “Save” at the bottom of the page.
3. Add App Blocks to the Product Page
Open your Theme Customizer.
Go to “Products” > “Default Products.”
Under “Product Information,” click “Add Block.”
Add “PreOrder Now – Popups” and “PreOrder Now – Plans.”
Click “Save.”
Go to your Cart Page and add the “PreOrder Now – Popups” block.
Click “Save.”
If the Theme Doesn’t Support App Blocks
If you’re unable to add app blocks due to theme limitations:
Go to the PON “Settings.”
Disable “Shopify Purchase Options” and click “Save.”
Then click “Sync Selling Plan with Settings.”
This will allow you to use the Legacy Partial Payment method instead.
