Can I keep credit card authorizations for longer than 7 days?
No, credit card authorizations in Shopify are valid for 7 days. The PreOrder Now (PON) app does not change your checkout or payment settings.

Can payment for preorder products be captured when the product ships instead of at checkout?
While PON does not include a feature to delay payment capture, Shopify offers a manual payment capture setting. This allows you to authorize the payment at checkout and capture it later—within the 7-day window.
To enable this, you’ll need to set your payment capture to manual in your Shopify admin.
