App Embed Status on Your Dashboard

Learn how to view and understand the status of app embeds on your dashboard.

We’ve added a new App Embed Status section to your dashboard to help you quickly see whether your app embed is currently enabled or disabled in your Shopify theme.

This makes it easier to confirm that everything is set up correctly and that your storefront is using the app as expected.


What You’ll See

On your dashboard, you’ll now find a small section that shows:

  • Whether your app embed is enabled or disabled

  • A button to enable the embed if it’s currently off

  • A Refresh button to update the status


How to Use the Refresh Button

Because of how Shopify reports embed changes, the status doesn’t update automatically.


If you enable or disable the embed in your theme:

  1. Return to your app dashboard.

  2. Click Refresh.

  3. The status will update to show the current state.

This ensures the dashboard always reflects the most accurate information.


When to Check Your Embed Status

You may want to use this feature when:

  • Setting up the app for the first time

  • Changing themes

  • Troubleshooting why something isn’t appearing on your storefront

  • Making edits to your app block or theme settings
