primaTime Update 2.1.6 — Board in more places and clearer exports

Board now on the All projects page and in the To-Do List, private projects for selected members, custom export filenames, plus recovery of work in progress and view and report improvements — all from your feedback.

Written by František Vondrák

The Board now where you didn't have it. Projects only the right people see. Exports that name themselves. See what 2.1.6 improves in the way you work.

Release date: 24 Jun 2026

Version: 2.1.6

1. Tasks & Projects

🗂️ Board on the All projects page

The All projects page now includes a Board view for an overview of every project.

How it works:

  • Group projects by status or due date

  • Each project card shows the name, client, due date, and budget (time and cost)

What you get: See the status, due dates, and budgets of all your projects in one place.

Where to find it: All projects → Board view

📋 Board in the To-Do List

Your To-Do List now offers a board — the columns are its sections, just like tasks in a project.

How it works:

  • Drag a task between sections to move it into that section

What you get: Plan tasks by dragging them on the board instead of clicking through a list.

Where to find it: To-Do List → Board view

🔐 Share private projects with members

You can now share private projects with selected members.

How it works:

  • Add members to a private project so they can see it

  • Only members see it — not even the organization owner or people with a global project permission, unless they are members

What you get: Share a sensitive project only with its members — no one else sees it.

Where to find it: Project → Settings → Private project

🔢 Automatic sorting by status type

Statuses now sort first by type, then alphabetically.

How it works:

  • Order by type: To Do → In Progress → Done

  • Alphabetical within each type

What you get: Statuses appear in the same, clear order everywhere.

Where to find it: Board and Tasks Workflow

⚠️ Due date outside the sprint warning

When you set a task's due date outside its sprint, primaTime warns you and offers to move it with a single click.

How it works:

  • When a task's due date falls outside its assigned sprint, a warning appears

  • If the due date falls within another active or future sprint, we offer to move it there

  • The due date always saves; a task is never moved automatically into a completed sprint

What you get: Catch a mismatched due date right away, not later during a review.

Where to find it: Task creation or detail

🎯 Pre-filled sprint for a task from the active sprint

A new task from the Active sprint view has the active sprint set right away.

How it works:

  • When creating a task from the Active sprint, the Sprint field is pre-filled with the active sprint

  • When no sprint is running, the field stays empty

What you get: A task created from the active sprint is already in it.

Where to find it: Active sprint → new task

↕️ Order and defaults for project pages

Rearrange the pages and views in a project and set the default order for new projects.

How it works:

  • Change the order of pages and views in a project

  • Set the default order separately for simple and advanced projects

What you get: Order project pages your way, and the project opens straight to what you use most.

Where to find it: Project → Settings → Pages and views (default for new projects in Settings → Projects)

2. Time Tracking

📆 Duplicate a record to a chosen date

When duplicating a time record, pick the date the copy lands on right away.

How it works:

  • In the record menu, choose Duplicate and then the target date: yesterday, today, or a custom date

  • The record's time (start and duration) is kept from the original

What you get: Duplicate a record straight to the right day without manually rewriting the date.

Where to find it: Time record → menu → Duplicate → yesterday / today / custom date

3. Navigation & Views

👁️ View improvements (Table, Board, To-Do List)

More control over what you see in your views.

How it works:

  • Show, hide, or rearrange individual columns and groups

  • A toggle hides empty columns — the setting saves for that view

  • For a public view, only its owner can change the setting

What you get: Set columns, groups, and empty columns separately in each view.

Where to find it: Any table, board, or To-Do List → view options

🎨 Color picker improvements

Unify project colors across your whole organization.

How it works:

  • Save preset colors for the whole organization

  • Set a default (primary) color for new projects

What you get: Projects use consistent colors without tuning each one by hand.

Where to find it: Project color picker; presets in Organization settings → Colors

♻️ Recover work in progress

When you close a window with an edit in progress, primaTime keeps it as a draft you can return to.

How it works:

  • Clicking outside an open window minimizes it as a draft (it isn't discarded)

  • Works for a task, project, client, and time record; reopen or remove the draft

  • Keeps up to 4 drafts at once and, for a new item, offers to continue or start over

What you get: An edit in progress isn't lost, even if you close the window by mistake.

Where to find it: Anywhere while editing a task, project, client, or time record

🏷️ "+ Tag" in the global + button

The global + button now also offers + Tag.

What you get: Create a tag from the global +, without going to tag settings.

Where to find it: Global + button

4. Reports & Exports

🧾 Custom file names for exports

Decide for yourself what your exported reports are named.

How it works:

  • For six reports (Time records, Projects, Clients, Users, Tasks, Tags) and PDF, XLSX, and CSV formats, build your own name template from elements such as report type, entity name, date, or currency

  • Each report has three ready-made presets and a name preview; the setting applies to the whole workspace

  • At release, we convert all workspaces to new default names with the date in YYYY-MM-DD order (files sort chronologically); edit or revert them at any time

What you get: Files are named and sorted exactly the way you need — in folders, in email, and in a document system.

Where to find it: Workspace settings → Reports → Exports

📐 Detailed report layout improvements

Columns in the detailed report wrap to a new line sooner, so they get more room and the report reads better.

Where to find it: Reports → detailed report

✨ More improvements

Small things that make your everyday work easier:

  • Dropdown menus and windows: clicking outside an open menu closes just that menu, not the whole window you're working in.
