You can now download the primaTime iPhone app from the App Store. Also new: milestones, phases, timeline dependencies and a warning when a name already exists.

Written by František Vondrák

Which deadline will slip this month? Version 2.1.12 tells you before your client does: the projects timeline now shows phases, milestones and dependencies. You'll also find the iPhone app right in the App Store. See what else the new version brings.

Release date: 2 Nov 2026
Version: 2.1.12

1. Mobile App

📱 primaTime for iPhone on the App Store

In the App Store, the app is called primaTime: Profitable Projects. If you installed it through TestFlight, download the App Store version and log in as before; your time records are kept.

What you get: You install and update the app without the TestFlight testing app.

Where to find it: App Store.

The step-by-step guide is in the article Track time on your phone with the primaTime app

2. Tasks & Projects

⭐ Milestones

A milestone is a key date you link tasks to, from one project or several.

How it works:

  • Pick a milestone in a task; to link several tasks at once, use bulk edit in the task list view

  • The status follows the tasks: when the last one is done, the milestone switches to Done. Tasks that put the date at risk are marked Needs attention in the milestone details

  • On the projects timeline, a milestone is a star on its project's bar

What you get: Without moving tasks into a shared sprint or phase, you see whether you'll meet a key date.

Where to find it: Projects → Milestones. Milestones are visible to the organization owner and the project owner; you give other roles access in the role settings.

🧩 Phases

You can now split a Simple project into phases.

How it works:

  • A phase's status follows its dates and tasks; only Paused and Canceled are set by hand. From the following Monday, no time can be logged to a paused phase

  • On the Phases tab, you move tasks between phases by dragging them

  • On the projects timeline, phases sit under their project; if you don't want to see them, choose Options → Breakdown → Tasks only

What you get: You keep track of dates and budget phase by phase, not just for the whole project.

Where to find it: Projects → All projects → project → Phases. Advanced projects keep using sprints.

🔗 Dependencies

You can now link phases and sprints too.

How it works:

  • To create a dependency, drag the dot at the end of a bar onto another bar of the same kind

  • Before the app moves items in another project, it asks you

  • A red arrow marks an item that starts before the one it depends on ends

What you get: When something runs late, the phases and sprints that follow move on their own.

Where to find it: Projects → Projects Timeline. To hide the arrows, turn off Options → Show dependencies.

3. More improvements

⚠️ Warning when a name already exists

When you create an item with a name that already exists, primaTime warns you right under the Name field.

How it works:

  • It shows up to five such items as links, archived ones included; upper case, accents and extra spaces don't matter

  • You can still create the item

  • Tasks and sprints are compared within their project, contacts within their client

What you get: Instead of a duplicate project, you open the existing one, so time and budget aren't split.

Where to find it: When you create a project, client, task, sprint, team, label, role, template, contact or bank account.
