primaTime Update 2.1.11 — Mobile app and projects timeline

The new primaTime is now on your phone too, on Android and iPhone. Also new: the projects timeline, a custom group order in the task overview, pasting notes without formatting and search across all columns.

Log time from your phone, right where you work. On the projects timeline, you spot early which project is running behind schedule or going over budget. See what else version 2.1.11 brings.

1. Mobile App

📱 Mobile app for the new primaTime

You can now log time from your phone, on Android and iPhone.

How it works:

  • Android: download the app from Google Play. iPhone: until Apple approves it for the App Store, install it through TestFlight, Apple's testing app

  • The stopwatch is linked to the web app: start it on your phone and stop it on your computer, or the other way round

  • The app works without an internet connection too; it sends your records as soon as you are back online

What you get: You log time on the spot, while you still remember exactly what you worked on.

Where to find it: The step-by-step guide is in the article Track time on your phone with the primaTime app

2. Tasks & Projects

🗓️ Projects timeline

You can now see all your projects and sprints on one timeline.

How it works:

  • Each project and sprint is a bar from its start date to its due date; the bar's fill shows the work delivered, the line under it the budget used

  • Two rings next to a project compare the work delivered with the budget used. Hover over them to see the detail, for example “Over budget by 30%”

  • Change dates by dragging a bar; projects, sprints and tasks that don't have a date yet wait in the No date panel, and you drag them onto the timeline from there

What you get: You spot early which project is falling behind or using its budget faster than work is being delivered.

Where to find it: Projects → All projects → Timeline

3. Time Tracking

📋 Paste notes without formatting

You can now paste text copied from Jira, for example, into a time record note without its formatting.

How it works:

  • Turn the option on once in your personal settings; it applies to notes in time records and in the stopwatch

  • You can tell it's on by the Plain text paste on label under the note

What you get: Your notes keep one consistent look, without fonts, colours and sizes carried over from another app.

Where to find it: Settings → Time tracking → Personal → Paste as plain text

4. Navigation & Views

↕️ Custom group order in the task overview

You can now put the groups in the task overview in the order you need.

How it works:

  • In the Group by menu, set the group order to Custom and drag the groups into the order you want

  • Hide a group you don't need with the eye icon

What you get: When you group by status, the groups appear in the order your tasks move through them, not alphabetically.

Where to find it: Projects → Tasks → Group by → Custom

🔎 Search across all columns

Search in overviews now looks through all text columns: client, project, task, user, label and note text.

What you get: You can find a specific record by a single word from its note, not just by its name.

Where to find it: The Search field in the task, time record and invoice overviews
