Overview
This guide covers Browser Mode in ProLine phone settings. Browser Mode allows phone calls to ring directly through your desktop browser, making it ideal for desk-based users such as administrators, office managers, or anyone not relying on the mobile app.
Important: The browser must remain open to receive incoming calls. If the browser is closed, calls will automatically route to voicemail.
Purpose
Browser Mode is designed to support desktop-first workflows by:
Routing inbound calls directly to the desktop browser
Reducing spam and robocalls through call screening options
Allowing optional mobile app outbound calling while preserving ProLine caller ID
