How to Create a Display

This explains the basic steps for creating a Display (popup). For details, please refer to the linked manual.

Before You Start

The following are not required, but please prepare them if needed.

  • Images to display (PC/mobile)

  • Custom JavaScript and custom CSS code

  • Account/information for the destination if integrating with other tools

Steps

  1. Click "Create Display" on the Promolayer top page.

  2. Select a template that fits your purpose, then click "Use This Template."
    See here for how to choose a template.

  3. Enter a Display name and click "Create."

  4. Configure the design, rules, and actions.
    See here if you're distributing a coupon through the Display.

  5. Click Preview to check how it looks.

  6. If the preview looks good, change the status to Live.

  7. Open the target site page and confirm it displays as configured — you're done.

① Display Name

Click the title to edit it.

② Content / Design Settings

Configure the Display's visuals. Add parts using the "Add Content" button. In Design Settings, you can replace images and adjust sizing.

③ PC / Mobile Mode Toggle

Check how it looks on PC and mobile. Design settings are shared between PC and mobile.

④ Design / Rules / Actions

Design: Change the design while viewing the live preview. Rules: Set when, to whom, and on which pages the Display appears. Actions: Set what happens after conversion.

⑤ Main / Thank You / Teaser

Configure the Display's Main, Thank You, and Teaser. Thank You is enabled when a form submission or roulette game is set up in Main. Teaser minimizes the Display to sit at the edge of the screen.

⑥ Status / Preview / Save / Close

Status: Switch between Draft mode and Live mode.

Preview: Check the actual appearance on the specified site URL.

Save: Save the current settings.

Close: Close the Display editing screen and return to the Display list. Unsaved changes will be lost.

⑦ Live Preview

Shows how the Display will look with the current settings. Changes are reflected instantly, so you can adjust the design while watching the live preview.
