If you have generated the Tenancy Agreement but Propoly has not sent a digital copy to the Tenants to sign electronically, you may have set the deal to be manually executed. This means that Propoly is expecting you to print the Tenancy Agreement out and have it signed in person instead.
If you would prefer to proceed with electronic signatures instead, you will need to follow the steps below.
Step 1: Open up the deal
The first step is to navigate to the deal that you need to issue the Tenancy Agreement for. This can be done by navigating to the deal in your account or by clicking on the deal link in an email notification.
Step 2: Check if the deal has been set up for manual signatures
Once you have navigated to the deal, click on the tenancy generation stage on the "track" at the top of the screen.
This will open up the "Tenancy Generation" page, as shown below:
In this example, you can see the "Agent will manually execute Tenancy Agreement" option has been set to "Yes". This means the system is expecting you to print off a copy of the contract and have the Landlords and Tenants physically sign the agreement.
Usually, it is much quicker to opt for electronic signatures. If you would like to send the tenancy agreement to the Landlords and Tenants by DocuSign for electronic signature, just follow the steps below.
Step 3: Unlock the Deal
Once you have found the deal, you will need to unlock it by clicking the "Unlock" button above the tenancy end date.
This will unlock the deal so that you can make changes to it. If your deal is already unlocked, you do not need to complete this step.
This will return you to the "Tenancy Generation" step of the deal.
Step 4: Set the Tenancy Agreement to be signed electronically.
On the "Tenancy Generation" page, locate the "Agent will manually execute Tenancy Agreement" toggle, and ensure this is set to "No".
Step 5: Generate a new Tenancy Agreement
Once you have set the "Agent will manually execute Tenancy Agreement" toggle to "No" click on the "Generate Tenancy Agreement" button.
This will regenerate the tenancy agreement in a digital format, and send it to the Tenants to sign by DocuSign.
Well done! You now correctly reissued the Tenancy Agreement for the tenants to sign electronically. If you have any further questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to our support team for assistance.
