Why can't I execute the tenancy agreement?

One of the most common reasons for not being able to execute the agreement is that the Tenant has not confirmed setting up a Standing Order.

Sometimes you might find that you are unable to execute a tenancy agreement within the Propoly platform.

One of the most common reasons for this is because the tenant has not yet confirmed that they have set up a standing order for their future rent payments. In the first instance, you should contact the tenant ask them to set up the standing order and then confirm this through the Propoly site.

However, if the tenant is unable to confirm setting up their standing order through the system and you are happy to proceed with executing the tenancy, follow these simple steps to resolve the issue:

Step 1: Open the deal

Open the deal for the tenancy you are trying to execute. This can be done by clicking on the deal from your dashboard or by searching for it in the search bar.

Step 2: Locate the payment section on the "signing and move in monies" page.

Once you have opened the deal, navigate to the "signing and move in monies" page. Here, you will find the payment section where you can view the status of the tenant's standing order.

Step 4: Select "Cancel Standing order"

If the tenant has set up a standing order outside the system, you will need to cancel it in order to proceed with executing the tenancy agreement. Simply click on the "Cancel Standing order" button and confirm the cancellation.

And that's it! Once you have cancelled the standing order, you will be able to successfully execute the tenancy agreement and send the compliance documents to the tenant.
