The Stock view explained

The Stock view in the PULPO WMS Web App is a real-time information tool that tracks all products, quantities, and their positions inside the warehouse, as well as the total stocks for each product in the warehouse. You can see the expiring stock and the stock corrections done by the users in the warehouse using this view as well.

This article will explain how to use this option in the Web App.

Click on the Stock option on the left side menu of the PULPO WMS Web App to get to the stocks view.

Stock by position tab

This tab displays an overview of all stocks matching search parameters per warehouse position.

A Search stock dialogue will automatically appear to filter the stock search. If no filter is set, the entire warehouse stock will be shown (if there are more than 100,000 SKUs, this may take a few seconds). The options to filter are the following:

  • Location types: The user can choose, from a drop-down menu, any location type available in the warehouse

  • Availability: Choose a state for the products to search for. The default state will be "available"

  • Product: Type the specific name of the product to be searched

  • LOT or Serial number: Type in the lot or serial number to see its locations.

  • Supplier: Type the specific name of a supplier to search for products related to that supplier

  • Position: Type a specific location where to search for products

  • Barcode: Type a barcode manually or by a barcode scanner connected to the computer to search for products.

  • Picking task: Type a picking task name to search all the products related to this picking.

After clicking the SEARCH button, a list of names of the found products matching the filters is displayed. The product's SKU code, article number, name, position, and quantity will also be displayed (select the Show columns option).

On the right side of the screen, a summary of information for any selected product can be viewed. The summary information has the details about the supplier, lots, serials and quantity stored in a selected position.

To perform another search, simply click on the SEARCH button on the lower right side of the screen. You make use of the CLEAR ALL FILTERS option located at the upper right side of the screen to reset all previously given criteria and perform a new search without mixing any searching information. The global search bar, located at the upper right side of the screen, can also ease the search for a product or any other item.

The stock is filtered per warehouse. For 3PL customers, the list is filtered per merchant as well.

Total Stocks tab

The Total Stock tab displays an overview of total stocks per product. All stocks for a product are summed up here, regardless of where they are stored within the warehouse.

The new tab displays a datagrid with all products and their total stocks. The columns in this datagrid include the product name, SKU, article number, total stock, and total stock excluding return positions. The amount of serials or LOT quantities does not matter in this view; only the total stocks are displayed.

You have the option to search for specific products by SKU, Article number and Product name. The page shows all the products in the warehouse, including those with no stock.

You can switch between 20, 50, 100 and 200 rows per page for the optimised stock view.

The stock is filtered per warehouse. For 3PL customers, the list is filtered per merchant as well.

Expiring Products tab

The expiring products tab allows you to view and control the stock for a selected lot-type product and see the expiration dates of its lots.

Select a product and the timeframe to see the lots with the expiry dates falling into this timeframe.

Stock Corrections tab

The Stock Corrections tab provides an overview of stock corrections made by users in the warehouse with the PULPO WMS Android app within a selected timeframe.

The information contains data about the products, locations, SKUs and added or removed quantities per product or batch.

Downloading the Stock CSVs

In the Stock by Position tab and the total Stock tab, you can download CSVs with the stock data by clicking the CSV DOWNLOAD button in the top bar of the PULPO WMS Web app.
The files you can download from these 2 screens are different:

  • The file downloaded from the Stock by Position tab contains the following data grouped per product:

    • Available quantity

    • Unavailable quantity

    • Rejected quantity

    • Total quantity

  • The file downloaded from the Total Stocks tab contains the following data:

    • Total quantity

    • Total quantity excluding returned

You can always download your current datagrid view as well by clicking the "Three dots" menu and selecting the DOWNLOAD DATAGRID AS A CSV button.

Generation of stock CSVs for over 10,000 SKUs can last up to several minutes.
