Except for the regular reception of incoming goods, with the Loading Units setting enabled, you can create loading units on the go and assign products to them.

Creation of the loading units

Loading unit creation starts with scanning a loading unit barcode or tapping the Create Loading Units button in the app.

In both cases, the user will be asked to select a loading unit template.
As described in this article, only the loading unit of the type mix-container can store multiple SKUs. Other types of loading units can store only one SKU that can not be mixed with other products.

After selecting the type, the user will be asked to select a template.

Users can create multiple loading unit templates as described here.

The pallet will be created with a previously scanned code or with a random code generated by PULPO WMS. Users can re-generate the code or scan a barcode to assign it to the loading unit in the "Select dimensions template" screen

The loading unit code is a unique code used to identify the loading unit in your PULPO WMS system.

In the "Confirm dimensions" screen you can check or adjust pallet dimensions and weight

If you tap the Add loading unit barcodes button, the app will let you scan other loading units and create loading units of identical type and dimensions.

If you prefer to use generic codes, the app will ask you how many loading units you need to create and will create them for you.

Once done, you will get back to the incoming goods screen where you can add products to the loading units.

Assigning products to the loading units

In the incoming goods screen, you can now see the loading units created in the previous step. The screen has several buttons allowing you to add products, add loading units, and reject items.

After selecting a loading unit to add the products to, you can start adding products to this loading unit in the normal incoming goods process. The turbo scan option works here as well, but the main rule is that the products are added to a loading unit.

After adding products to the Loading unit, its icon changes to show there are already products assigned. The icons of the empty loading units are grayscale. Selecting or scanning this loading unit shows its contents.

Once the products related to a loading unit are stored in one of the reception locations, every time you accept the products to the loading unit, this reception location will be pre-selected by default for this loading unit.

You can activate the direct storage feature to skip the reception location and store the loading units in the storage locations.

In case you created a loading unit in your reception, all the incoming goods are to be assigned to the loading units. If you are receiving some products not related to any of the loading units, this has to be done in a different incoming goods sequence.

Rejecting products in the loading unit reception

If you decide to reject some products, you have to click a "Reject items" button, scan the rejected products and assign them to the position of type "Return". A separate line showing all the rejected products will be created in the list of loading units.
