Up until now, when ordering Facebook Historical data on a geo-located search on TRAC, it would have been hard to ascertain exactly how much data the search would use up, since we were only able to give you global volume estimates.

Starting today, thanks to some under-the-hood changes we've made, that is no longer the case!

Running a Facebook Historical Preview in a geo-located search now yields a much more precise estimate of how much data you will be using. See the below example of a Global and UK-only search for 'Nike' on Facebook:

Global Preview on a Search looking at Nike mentions on Facebook Pages

UK Preview on a Search looking at Nike mentions on Facebook Pages

What this means is that you can better plan your data usage accordingly. No more fussing and worrying about how much data you'll collect into your search.

You do not need to do anything to leverage this improvement, just keep in mind that the next time you run a Facebook Historical preview on a TRAC search, we are giving you the real deal in terms of how much data you'll likely collect!

We hope you find this improvement very useful and usual, let us know via Collaborate if you have any feedback!
