  • You will understand more about the kind of searches that you can create with each search type.

What is a TRAC search type?

Understanding different search types and how they work is really important when beginning to learn about TRAC searches and how they work.

We have three main search types: Topic, Panel and Content. Let's learn more about each individual search type:

Topic

Using this search type you can create TRAC searches based on what people are discussing in relation to keywords, hashtags and phrases.

By utilising this search type, you can obtain a deeper understanding of the way in which people are discussing specific topics and issues, allowing them to gain valuable insights into the latest trends, opinions, and sentiments within their field of interest. In addition, this search type is particularly effective in detecting and tracking emerging patterns in discussions around specific keywords and phrases, allowing users to identify new trends and changes in the way in which topics are being discussed over time. This can be particularly useful for individuals or organisations looking to stay ahead of the curve and anticipate changes and developments within their industry or field of interest.

Pulsar gives you the option to create a Topic search using the Wizard or the Boolean.

Panel

Panel searches offer you the ability to build audiences and gain valuable insights into the conversations and discussions taking place online related to your particular interests or business objectives.

By analysing the content of these online conversations, you can identify the needs and preferences of your target audience and gain a better understanding of the challenges and concerns they face. This information can be used to develop more effective marketing strategies, create more targeted and relevant content, and improve overall engagement with your audience.

You can create a Panel search using the Wizard

Content

A Content Search allows you to track URLs to see how many times a link has been shared on social media. You can monitor how that content is moving around the web, observe what people are saying about it and identify who is key in influencing the sharing of that content.

As with Panel and Topics searches you also have the option of Wizard and Boolean to create your Content search.
