QuoteIQ Mid-October 2026 Update

Oct 6 – 12, 2026: work across more than one company, customer notes on every visit, Reopen Job, InstaQuote size options, inspection dropdowns, mobile Live Chat, and fixes.

This update lets businesses with more than one company share contacts between them, pick a default company and delete ones they no longer use. It adds customer notes that show on every visit, a way to reopen completed jobs, and new options for InstaQuote and inspections. It also brings Live Chat to the mobile app and fixes a long list of things across payments, estimates, the calendar and notifications.

Items marked [Mobile app only] apply to the iPhone and Android apps only. Items marked [Web app only] apply to QuoteIQ in a web browser only.

New Features

Working with more than one company

For owners who run more than one business in QuoteIQ:

  • Default company. Pick the company QuoteIQ opens on when you sign in. Each person sets their own, and it follows you across devices. (Settings → Company → Companies, shown when you have more than one company.)

  • Delete a company you no longer use. Owners can delete an extra company. Its contacts, jobs, invoices and files are kept. QuoteIQ explains if something has to be cleared first, such as an active subscription, a phone number or active recurring invoices.

  • Share contacts between companies. Turn on Share Contacts Between Companies, then use Contacts → ⋮ → Import From Another Company to search your other companies and copy a contact in. The copy is separate from the original, and email and text automations start switched off.

  • A clearer "Add Another Business". Adding a company now asks whether you meant to update your current company or start a separate business. It explains that the new business starts empty and nothing moves over, and refuses a name you already use. Only owners can add a company.

Customer notes on every visit

Turn on Add Note To Scheduled Events under a customer's note, for example a gate code. The note then shows on every one of that customer's visits, past, present and future, including recurring ones. It always shows the customer's current note, so you only need to update it in one place.

Reopen a completed job

A job marked Done (and not yet paid) can be put back to Pending. Look for Reopen Job on the job's "Job complete" screen, in the Jobs table's Actions menu, or on the job card on mobile.

Notification categories on Android

[Mobile app only] QuoteIQ notifications on Android are now sorted into six categories. In your phone's settings you can switch individual categories off instead of all QuoteIQ notifications. If you'd turned off QuoteIQ notifications before, the new categories start off too.

Improvements & Changes

Estimates and invoices

  • Job numbers everywhere. The job number (for example "Job #101") now shows on invoices, on calendar events and in the web Jobs table, matching what estimates already show. Recurring visits show as "Job #105-2". Tapping it opens the job.

  • [Web app only] Balance Remaining column in the Invoices table, showing what each customer still owes. It's on by default on the Pending tab.

  • Check numbers now show on the invoice preview, receipts and the Activity Log.

  • Invoices covered by a deposit close themselves. If a deposit already paid the full amount, the new invoice is marked Paid automatically.

  • Partial payments short by exactly the convenience fee (paid by any method except card) now close the invoice as Paid with the fee waived, the same as "Mark Full Invoice as Paid".

  • Due dates and expiration dates follow your company's time zone, so the date you pick is the date that prints on the PDF.

  • Draft and Archived estimates now say so on their cards, instead of showing "Open".

  • Estimate notifications take you straight to that estimate, outlined in the list.

  • Switching a service to a flat rate keeps its total, and a service with no price can't be saved as $0.

InstaQuote

This adds to InstaQuote's existing size question:

  • Choose how customers give the size for each service: Measure on Map, Customer Types It, or Don't Ask (when the service has a minimum or flat price). If the map can't load, customers can type the size instead.

  • The customer page uses the right units for each service (area, hours, fixtures and so on).

Inspections

  • Dropdown questions. Inspection templates now offer a Dropdown question type, where the inspector picks exactly one answer.

Scheduling

  • InstaSchedule: "Apply to All Days". Set your booking hours for one day and copy them to the rest of the week in one tap. You'll be asked before it replaces hours you've already set.

  • Calendar events are colored by who they're assigned to.

  • "This Event Only" is now offered when you change the date of a single visit in a weekly, every-2-weeks, monthly or yearly series.

  • The event editor asks before closing if you have unsaved changes.

Inventory

  • Import inventory from your phone. A new ⋮ menu in Inventory and an Import Inventory button on the empty Products screen.

  • Inventory tables update straight away after an edit, without restarting the app.

Google reviews

  • Drafted replies stay in "Needs Reply". The separate AI Drafts tab is gone. A saved draft stays where it is, ready to approve and post.

  • The dashboard reviews card shows your newest waiting reviews first.

Account and subscription

  • Your plan at a glance. Settings → Account Profile now shows your plan, your IQ Credits balance and your extra users, with buttons to manage each.

  • Promo codes and the free trial. A subscription bought with a promo code is now paid up front, with no free trial. The 14-day free trial is for subscriptions started without a code.

  • Extra companies without their own plan can no longer open the Price Book or most of Settings. This now matches what they could already access for estimates, invoices and contacts.

  • The SMS / Twilio settings panel has been removed. Text automations already send from QuoteIQ's own number, so connecting Twilio isn't needed.

Support and AI

  • [Mobile app only] Live Chat in the mobile app. Live Chat opens full screen, you can attach photos and files, and you get a notification when our team replies.

  • QuoteIQ MCP (Claude, ChatGPT and other connectors):

    • Fewer confirmation steps. After you confirm an action, the assistant gets the result straight away and carries on.

    • Supplier orders with several products can be placed in one request, with one approval.

    • The "Approve changes in QuoteIQ" setting now says exactly which actions always ask for confirmation.

  • Payment settings explain more clearly what switching between QuoteIQ Payments and Stripe does.

Also improved

  • Better photo quality. Photos picked from your camera roll for estimate and invoice services are now saved at the same quality as QuoteIQ Cam photos.

  • Spelling. "License" is now spelled the US way in Chemical Tracking and the Applicator License section.

  • Measuring map. The Pitch / Azimuth switch has been removed from Roof Analysis.

Bug Fixes

AI

  • AutoPilot and Ask AI answer again. Since October 3, both replied "I can't reach the AI service right now" to everything. They're working again.

Payments and checkout

  • Web checkouts for QuoteIQ Payments (invoice payments, deposits and Auto-Pay sign-ups) have moved to Whop's new checkout, ahead of Whop retiring the old one on October 21.

  • Identity verification for QuoteIQ Payments opens in a real browser, so the camera, photo uploads and pop-ups work. Before, many merchants couldn't finish it.

  • Max includes the AI Website Builder again. Max subscribers on current prices weren't getting it.

  • Extra companies on Max can send proposals, and their employees no longer see a "pick your plan" screen.

  • SAVE10 can be used after backing out of checkout once, and the keyboard no longer hides the promo code box on phones.

  • Plan screens show the correct monthly IQ Credits for every plan.

Estimates and invoices

  • A fixed-dollar discount stays in dollars. It could show or save as a percentage in the estimate editor, package sheet and preview.

  • Accepted estimates can't be declined from their customer link.

  • "Hide prices" settings apply on the customer's estimate link. Before, the link could show prices the estimate hid.

  • Customer invoice page: shows the due date, and a part-paid invoice says "Balance Due" with what's been paid.

  • QuickBooks keeps the convenience fee on synced invoices.

  • The partial-payment option now says "Send a QuickPay link."

  • A draft estimate keeps its edited client message when reopened.

  • The Online Self-Scheduling switch on quick estimates saves, so customers get the booking button after accepting.

  • The preview PDF loader closes if the PDF fails, instead of staying stuck.

  • PDF downloads work when the customer's name contains a "/".

  • Exports → Estimates now exports your estimates instead of saying there are none.

Price Book

  • Saving one service no longer overwrites the whole Price Book. Before, a browser tab or device that had been open a while could overwrite a teammate's newer price, photo or description changes.

Dashboard

  • Revenue counts deposits, and Sales By Service adds up to revenue.

  • YTD Sales and Average Ticket count each paid invoice once.

  • Changing a contact's lead source moves it in Leads By Source.

Calendar and jobs

  • Actions on a recurring visit apply to the visit you tapped, not the first visit in the series.

  • [Mobile app only] The last Schedule Later jobs are no longer hidden behind the bottom bar on phones.

Inventory

  • Moving stock between locations no longer loses it, and assigning products to a location sticks.

Contacts and forms

  • Calling from a contact-form submission offers Client Hub, like everywhere else.

  • Photos on a form submission go to the contact's Attachments when you convert it, instead of appearing as links in the notes.

  • Contacts imported by CSV get your text campaigns. They had been treated as opted out.

  • [Web app only] Clicking a customer in Search opens their contact page, instead of a blank grey screen.

  • [Web app only] Clicking a row or the Actions menu in the Contacts and Invoices tables works reliably.

QuoteIQ Sign

  • Signing links work in Safari before version 26.2, including on older iPads.

  • Documents the business has replaced or switched off can no longer be signed, and QuoteIQ Sign shows the right company's documents after switching companies.

Notifications

  • [Web app only] Web notifications arrive reliably. Web users had been silently stopped from getting notifications.

  • [Web app only] Notifications no longer show twice, and clicking one takes you to the right place.

Android

  • [Mobile app only] A dropped connection no longer locks Android users out. Losing signal could show the plan screen or sign people out.

Measuring map

  • Each MapMeasure Pro screen opens on its own address, instead of wherever the last map was left.

  • The Search key in address search goes to the address.

  • The measurement name is readable in dark mode.

Other fixes

  • [Web app only] Before & After on a computer offers the right photo sources, and an existing one opens as "Edit Before & After".

  • [Web app only] Atlas door-knock CSV exports download.

  • Applying an InstaQuote template from a dashboard card no longer turns the screen black.

  • Invite Sent now refreshes the Team list straight away.

  • Some team members could open into an empty company of their own instead of their employer's. That no longer happens.
