How do I verify my email address for campaigns?

Learn how to view and manage verified emails and add new verified emails for use in campaign communications

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Raise More lets users verify email addresses for use in campaign communications, ensuring that messages are sent from trusted and authenticated sources. The Verified Emails page provides a simple interface where users can add new emails for verification, see which addresses are already verified, and remove any they no longer want to use. This helps streamline the process of managing sender identities across different outreach efforts.

Verifying email addresses helps improve deliverability and protects the credibility of your communications. When emails come from a verified source, they are less likely to be flagged as spam and more likely to be trusted by recipients, which is crucial for maintaining strong engagement with donors.

How to view and manage Verified Emails?

Hover the cursor over Settings in the left pane and click Verified Emails. The page lists all verified emails and allows you to make changes to them as well as verify new email addresses. Each row represents a verified email and columns show important information for each verified email address including:

  • Email address

  • Sender name

  • Date added

  • Verified (Status if verified or not)

  • Verification Action Required (if there is any action required by the user, more on that below)

  • Make Default

  • Edit

The Make Default link allows you to set any email as the default email for sending follow-ups. The three-dot menu button in the Edit column gives you two options i.e. edit the sender name and delete, which deletes an email address from the list of verified emails.

How to add a new verified email?

Verifying an email is simple and straightforward. Click the blue Add Verified Email button (Settings -> Verified Emails), enter the email address in the first field, the sender’s name you want to appear on your emails in the second field and click the blue Add button. The email address will become visible in the list after the verification process is complete.

What should I do if a verification action is required?

In some cases, the system might require you to add DNS records to your domain in order for Raise More to verify your domain. This step is required to ensure that your email address(es) are treated as legitimate by the platform. You’ll see a Finish Verification (red background) flag if a verification action is required. Here is how you can perform additional verification:

  1. Click Finish Verification

  2. Copy DNS record details and add to your domain using the DNS management panel by your domain provider e.g. Google Domains, Square Space etc.

  3. Click the red button labeled “Click here after adding DND records

  4. Once the system verifies the domain, the Finish Verification flag will be removed and the status will change to verified

The process of adding DNS record details can vary from one domain provider to another and you might want to refer to your domain provider's help documentation, but here is how it generally goes:

  1. Log-in to your domain provider’s website

  2. Look for DNS management or DNS settings in the management page / control panel

  3. Find the section where you can add or change DNS records

  4. Paste the DNS record details provided into appropriate fields

  5. Apply / save changes

Tip: To send emails, you need to verify that you own the domain (such as @xyz.com) to meet spam compliance standards. After the domain is verified, you can instantly add as many additional email addresses as you want using the same domain.

Managing verified emails in Raise More is straightforward and ensures your campaign messages reach donors reliably. It’s a quick but essential step that supports effective and professional email communication. By keeping your verified email list up to date, you maintain control over who can send messages on behalf of your campaign, reduce the risk of deliverability issues, and reinforce your organization’s credibility in every donor interaction.
