There is no single pause button in the dialer. Instead, you stop calling by leaving the session, and Raise More remembers where you were in the list. When you come back to that list later, the button changes to "Resume List" and you pick up from the contact where you stopped. This article walks through how that works.
Quick answer
To take a break:
Finish or hang up your current call.
Leave the calling session.
To come back:
Open the list you were calling.
Click "Resume List". Its tooltip shows the position you will start from.
Your spot in the list is saved automatically as you advance, so you do not need to do anything special before you leave.
End your current call first
If you are on a live call, hang up before you leave the session. The hang-up control is the phone button next to the contact's number on their profile. It turns red while a call is connected. You cannot move to the next contact or switch lists while a call is still connected, so hang up first.
Leave the calling session (the "pause")
Leaving the session is how you step away.
When you joined by browser audio and have navigated away from the dialer page, a bar appears across the top of the screen that says "You're currently in a dialer session." That bar has a "Leave session" button with a log-out icon. Its tooltip reads: "Leave the call session. If there are other users, they will stay connected."
On the dialer page itself, the leave control is a log-out icon button in the session controls. It has the same tooltip: "Leave the call session. If there are other users, they will stay connected."
When you click it, you will see a confirmation that says: "WAIT: Are you sure you want to leave this call session? You will be disconnected!" Confirm it to disconnect.
A few things to know:
Leaving disconnects your audio, whether you joined by browser or by phone.
If other people are calling the same list with you, leaving does not end the session for them. They stay connected.
Your position in the list is kept, so you can resume later.
How your place in the list is saved
As you work through a list, the dialer keeps track of the last contact you were on for that list. The position is tied to the list, not to a single sitting at one computer, so you can leave and come back later (or from another device) and continue from the same spot.
You move through the list using "Next" (and the back control to return to the previous contact). Each time you advance, your saved position updates. If the last call to a contact needs a result logged, you have to log an outcome before "Next" becomes available.
Resume calling where you left off
When you are not currently in a session and you open a list you had been calling, the main call button changes based on your saved position:
If your saved spot is past the first contact, the button reads "Resume List". Hovering over it shows "Resume from position X of Y", where X is your saved spot and Y is the list length.
If you are at the very beginning of the list, or have not started it, the button reads "Make Calls" and starts from the top.
To resume:
Open the list from the saved lists page, or pick it from the "Select a List" menu on the Make Calls page.
Click "Resume List".
Reconnect your audio (see below).
If you are still in the session and want to return
If you never left the session and just navigated away, the dialer makes it easy to get back:
The top bar shows a "Return to the dialer →" link while a session is active.
On the list, the button reads "Return to Your Call Session", with the tooltip "You're currently in a dialer session using this list." Clicking it takes you straight back into the active session, with no need to resume.
Reconnecting audio when you resume
Starting or resuming a session puts you on the dialer page, where you reconnect your audio using one of these options:
"Join via browser" connects call audio through your computer. You may need to allow microphone access. Once connected, the button reads "Connected via Browser".
"Call me" calls the phone number you enter so you can talk on your phone. After it rings you, the button updates to "Pick up and dial 0 to connect".
"Dial into [number]" is a tap-to-dial link on mobile that calls the dialer line and enters your session code for you. On a desktop you can scan the QR code, or call the dialer number and enter your session code followed by the star key.
"Join without audio" joins the session without connecting you to call audio. After joining, the button reads "Joined".
Once you are connected again, you can keep dialing from your saved position.
Taking a short break without leaving the session
If you only need a moment and do not want to fully disconnect:
Use the "Mute" button in the top dialer bar to mute your microphone between calls. While muted the button reads "Muted"; click it again to unmute. Muting does not change your place in the list.
Just do not press "Next" or place a call until you are ready to continue. The session stays where it is.
Staying connected by phone or browser keeps the line open, so for a longer break it is cleaner to leave the session and resume later.
A note about lists in use by other users
If another person on your account is already calling a list, opening that list shows "Join Call Session" instead of "Resume List" or "Make Calls". Clicking it joins their active session rather than starting a separate one.
If you are already in your own session on a different list and someone else is on the list you want, the button is disabled and reads "This List Is In Use By Another User".
