How do I preview my email before sending?

There are two ways to check how your email looks before it goes out: an in-app preview that renders the saved body, and a test send that delivers the email to your inbox.

In-app preview

When you are editing a draft campaign, a Preview button appears in the top-right area of the page alongside your other draft actions. Clicking it opens a modal that shows:

  • The subject line

  • The preview text (the short snippet that appears in a recipient's inbox before they open the email)

  • The sender name and address

  • The full rendered email body

The preview reflects the last saved state of the draft. If you have made changes since your last save, click Save Draft first so the preview is current.

The Preview button is only available while the campaign is in draft status. After a campaign is scheduled or sent, the same information is shown inline on the campaign page without the modal.

Test send

To receive an actual email in your inbox before sending to your list:

  1. Open the draft campaign.

  2. Click Send Test Email.

  3. A confirmation dialog will appear showing the email address the test will go to (your account's primary email address). Confirm to proceed.

  4. The draft is saved automatically before the test is sent.

  5. A test email will arrive at your primary email address shortly.

If the test email lands in spam, that does not necessarily predict deliverability for your full campaign send. A single email sent to a personal inbox is evaluated differently than a bulk send from a verified sending domain.

What the preview does not show

The in-app preview renders the HTML body as the browser interprets it. It does not simulate how specific email clients (Gmail, Outlook, Apple Mail) render the message. For cross-client rendering checks, use the test send and open it in the clients you care about.
