How do I add a donate button or link to my email?

You can add a donation link to any email campaign using either a button block or inline hyperlinked text in the design editor. The link itself is a URL you supply, typically your ActBlue page or your Raise More donation page.

Find your donation URL

ActBlue link. Copy the URL from your ActBlue campaign or form. It looks like https://secure.actblue.com/donate/your-form.

Raise More donation page. If you have set up a donation page in Raise More, its URL follows the pattern https://secure.raisemore.app/donate/{your-org-slug}/{page-slug}. Open the Payments section, open the donation page, and copy the URL shown there.

Add a button in the design editor

  1. Open your email campaign and click Edit Content to open the design editor.

  2. In the left panel, find the Button content block.

  3. Drag it into your email where you want the button to appear.

  4. Click the button to select it. In the settings panel on the left, find the Action or URL field.

  5. Paste your donation URL into that field.

  6. Change the button label to something like Donate Now or Give Today.

  7. Adjust colors and size to match your email design.

Add a hyperlink to text

  1. In the design editor, click the text block where you want to add the link.

  2. Select the word or phrase you want to link, such as "click here to donate."

  3. Click the link icon in the text toolbar (it looks like a chain).

  4. Paste your donation URL and confirm.

Using a merge field in the URL

If you want to pre-fill a suggested ask amount, you can append query parameters to an ActBlue URL, for example ?amount=100. You can also use the {askAmount} merge tag in the link URL if your ActBlue form supports the amount parameter, though this depends on how your ActBlue form is configured rather than anything inside the email editor itself.

Preview and test before sending

After adding the link or button, use the Send Test Email option to send yourself a copy and click the link to confirm it opens the correct page. The editor does not track or modify donation link clicks; the URL your recipients see is exactly the one you entered.
