If you see a donation total, donor count, or other figure that looks different on two different screens, one of the following is almost always the reason.
Campaign cycle dates are set
When your account has a campaign cycle start and end date configured, the contacts table shows two sets of donation figures: a lifetime total and a cycle total. The cycle total only counts donations with a date that falls within your configured cycle window. The donor profile view and the donation history table always show the full lifetime record. If one screen is showing a smaller number than another, check whether the cycle date filter is in effect on that screen.
You can view and change your campaign cycle dates in Settings.
Filters or date ranges differ between screens
The contacts table and other list views apply whatever filters are currently active. A date range filter, a tag filter, or a search query will narrow the rows shown, which changes any totals derived from that set. A donor profile, by contrast, always shows all records for that person regardless of any active table filters.
Before comparing two numbers, confirm that both views have the same filters applied.
Refunded donations are included in totals
Donation totals displayed in the contacts table include refunded donations. A donation marked as refunded is still a row in the database and still counts toward the sum. If you are comparing against a report from ActBlue or another processor that nets out refunds, the numbers will differ for that reason.
To identify refunded donations, open the donation history on a donor profile or filter the donations table by the "Refunded at" column.
What to do if none of these explain the gap
If the numbers still do not reconcile after checking filters, cycle dates, and refunds, reach out to support with the two screens you are comparing and the specific figures you are seeing.
