In this article, we will explain the distinction between proofing and tracking links when sharing your digital proposal. Additionally, we will guide you on how to utilise these links within the system. Understanding the difference between these links is crucial for internal collaboration and effectively tracking prospect engagement. Let's delve into the details and learn how to implement them.

Proofing Link vs. Tracking Link:

A proofing link is intended for internal purposes within your organisation. It allows agents, admins, or other team members to review and experience the digital proposal. This link provides an opportunity to assess the prospect's perspective before sending out the final version using the tracking link.

On the other hand, a tracking link is the one sent to your prospects. This link enables you to monitor and gather data on how they interact with the presentation. The distinction between the two links lies in the level of engagement tracking. Internally, you wouldn't want to be notified every time the proofing link is opened, as it may lead to a false sense of high engagement. The tracking link, however, provides valuable insights into prospect engagement.

To share the links effectively, follow these steps within the system:

Generating the Proofing Link:

  1. Open the desired digital proposal in the system.

  2. On the right-hand side of the proposal, locate and click the blue Share button.

  3. In the share options, you will find the proofing link at the top.

  4. Copy the proofing link and share it internally for review purposes.

Generate the Tracking Link:

  1. Within the share options, click on the tracking link to access more information and settings.

  2. Customise the Tracking Link (optional): Set an expiry date for the link to limit its accessibility. Choose an appropriate date, ensuring it remains active until the desired time.

  3. Send the tracking link via SMS or copy it to share with your prospects.
