Engage's data tracking feature is an incredibly powerful tool that allows you to understand how your vendors view your proposals, how long they spend on them, and how many times they interact with them. Having this type of data at your fingertips can give you a deeper level of insight and help you to tailor your approach and have more meaningful conversations. In this article, we'll be taking a look at how the data tracking feature works and how to use it.

How Data Tracking Works

Once you've finished editing your proposal and it's ready to be sent, click on the Save & Share button. This will generate a tracking link that you can use to monitor and understand the interaction with your proposal. To send the link, simply copy it and you can either send it via email or SMS to your vendors.

It is also possible to create individual tracking links for each recipient within a single proposal. This allows you to see which recipients are engaging with specific parts of the proposal. To do this, create a unique link for each recipient and assign up to three people to receive notifications when the proposal is opened.

Special Note on Proposal Sources

It's important to note that the analytics dashboard and tracking functionalities are tailored exclusively for proposals generated within Engage. Proposals created and sent from Real Hub are not tracked within these analytics. This distinction ensures that the insights you gain are specifically relevant to your engagement strategies developed through Engage, allowing for more precise analysis and optimisation of your proposals.

Analytics and Data Reports

To access the analytics and data reports for your links, go to the projects section and navigate to the analytics section. You can click on the link to view if it has been opened, and if clicked, can also see the duration of the view, the exact date and time of the interaction, and the engagement level. This engagement level can be broken down into cold, warm, and hot, depending on how much of the proposal was viewed and the time spent by the recipient.
