Selfie Stick Do's and Don'ts

What to do and what not to do with your selfie stick!

Updated over a year ago

Are you as excited as we are about this new selfie stick feature in the OSMO 5? 🀳 We know it can be easy to be taken away from this new feature. That is why we want to make sure you are using it to the best of its ability.

Below are some of our Do's and Don'ts when using the selfie stick:

Selfie Stick Do's:

  • Get creative - Use the selfie stick to get those hard-to-reach angles. Grab your audience's attention by showing your window views up high and slowly panning down to the beautiful city skyline. πŸ™οΈ

  • Utilize our editing features - Even the best videos need a little polishing at the end. πŸ’…

  • Explore different options - Don't limit yourself to using the selfie stick to just pre-recorded videos. Don't be shy, try using the selfie stick when you are giving Live tours. πŸ“Ή

  • Promote your unique features - Does your unit have high ceilings or tall windows? Does your community have a beautiful landscape or a rooftop infinity pool? Promote them in a special way. 🏘️

  • Be confident in yourself - Let's be honest, we all have a favorite angle of ourselves. Use the selfie stick to find your favorite angle and make an appearance in your videos. Along with our video filters, the selfie stick is there to help you feel more confident when recording yourself in a video. πŸ˜„

Selfie Stick Don'ts:

  • Don't forget your basics - Even with a selfie stick, you will need to prepare your space and utilize our pre-recorded best practices for the most professional-looking video. Remember, with great power comes great responsibilities. πŸ’ͺ

  • Don't get carried away - You're not alone. We are super excited about this new addition to the stabilizer. However, this is still a stabilizer used for recording videos for your property not to take selfies for your Instagram. πŸ“·

  • Don't hog the selfie stick - Utilize the angles as a way to incorporate more of your coworkers/residents/etc. in your videos. Remember to include your fur residents too! 🐢 🐱
