Video Resolution

Learn how your video resolution impacts your videos!

Updated over a year ago

There is a lot of processing that happens behind the scenes after you press the Publish button! Once you press publish your Pre-Recorded Video goes through two different steps.

  • Pre-processing of the video. This process includes merging the clips, adding transitions, adding captions and segment names, etc.

  • Next is uploading the processed video to the cloud to finish publishing. You will know this step is finished when you receive the "Viola" message.

The steps above can differ depending on the length of your video, the number of clips, the strength of your WIFI, internet upload speeds, device memory, CPU (Central Processing Unit), and the video resolution selected. That being said, here are the average numbers to have an idea of how long it will take you to publish your videos!

Please note that the actual numbers for each user could be within a wide range of times!

  • 4k Video with 10 Clips: ~ 3 minutes and will take about 1.2GB of storage if not published.

    • Pre-processing time: ~4 minutes

    • Uploading time (10Mbps): ~20 minutes

  • Full HD (1080p): ~1 minute and 30 seconds and will take about .6GB of storage if not published.

    • Pre-processing time: ~2 minutes

    • Uploading time (10Mbps): ~10 minutes

  • HD (720p): ~45 seconds and will take about .03GB of storage if not published.

    • Pre-processing time: ~1 minute

    • Uploading time (10Mbps): ~5 minutes

๐Ÿ’ก Tip:

We recommend your video be 1-2 minutes long with 5-10 clips for the ideal video uploading and processing speed.
