Old Member Search

Updated over 2 years ago

Looking up a member is easy, just click on the Members top level menu item. It will default to showing you all the members that have recently been added to the system, but you have many filters to sort them by at the top. Below is a list of the best ways to look up a member.

Member Search

  • By their barcode The member search by default opens up with the cursor on the barcode field for a reason. Most branches and associations give their member a barcode to identify them. If your association does this you can look up members by their identifying barcode. If you have barcode scanner attached to your computer, scan away! This is the best way of making sure you have the right person without any typos.

  • By their MID or UID Core automatically assigns each member and unit its own unique identifier. The Member ID (MID) and the Unit ID (UID) get printed on receipts and these are usually the first things we ask for when we are helping you with any issues because there are no 2 members with the same MID or 2 units with the same UID.

  • By their full name You can type their name a variety of ways on the name search to find what you are looking for. Names are not the easiest way to find members because of how many different ways names can be spelled and the high potential of duplicates. If you are looking up people by name always make sure you confirm you have found the correct one with another identifying piece of information (like a DOB). You can use a % if you are not sure how to spell something. For example, if you are looking for John Smith and are unsure of how to spell it you could search for jo% smith and anybody matching that search will pull up. The system always adds a % at the beginning and at the end of the search so john smith will also pull up john smithS. Below is a list of supported name searches:

    * First Last * Last, First *(notice the comma)*
  • By their Date of Birth Date of birth is the easiest way of searching for members but on mid-size to large associations there are often several members with the same exact birthday. Below are some supported DOB formats:

    * MM/DD/YYYY * m/d/yy * YYYY-MM-DD * YYYY *Everyone born on that year* * Age *If you enter 1 or 2 digits it will show everyone that age*
