A pre-save is the streaming equivalent of a pre-order and a type of SmartLink.

Spotify Pre-Saves allows your fans to save your upcoming releases to their Spotify libraries before they go live.

On release day, your albums and singles will automatically appear in your fans' Spotify Libraries and, if they don't already, they will become followers of your Spotify artist page.

Spotify Pre-Saves is a really useful and effective promotional tool, helping you to build momentum for your upcoming releases as well as ensure they have as big an impact as possible on release day.

How can I get a Spotify Pre-Save link?

The easiest way to create a pre-save link (so your fans can save a track to their Spotify library before it's released) is to add a "Spotify Pre-Save" when you upload your release. With this feature, we'll send the pre-save link to you a day after your release is delivered.

Once you’ve signed up for an account, and started creating a release, add all the needed information for your music and you can then create a Spotify Pre-save for your new release. On the "Release date and promotion" page, tick the box below the release date picker that says "Spotify Pre-Save".

If you don't want to pay to create a pre-save, you can sign up for a free account with feature.fm who will allow you to generate basic pre-saves for no cost but this requires you to wait for your release to be delivered and then contact our support team to get your release Spotify Product ID which you need to manually create your presave link.
