As an artist, you have the opportunity to showcase your songs directly on your TikTok profile through the "Music Tab" feature. This guide will walk you through the steps to apply for a TikTok Artist Account, link your music to it, and ensure your tracks are accessible to your audience on TikTok.
How do I apply for a TikTok Artist Account?
Using your mobile device, you can apply for a TikTok Artist Account through this link. Completing the application will begin the process of adding the Music Tab feature to your profile. Am I qualified to have a TikTok Artist Account?
TikTok only requires you to have at least one song distributed to TikTok. It is crucial that your TikTok account is dedicated to your music and clearly displays your artist name.
Once the Music Tab is active on your profile, all tracks you've distributed through Record Union to TikTok will automatically appear. This includes both previously released tracks and any future releases.
My song was used as "Original Sound" on TikTok, how can I claim it?
If another user creates an "Original Sound" using your song, it won't automatically be added to your Music Tab. To claim such a sound, you can follow the guidelines provided in this article.
Please note that Record Union does not influence TikTok’s criteria for claiming an Artist Account or the processing of such requests. We recommend keeping your TikTok profile updated and aligned with your artist branding to meet TikTok's eligibility standards.
By following these steps, you can enhance your presence on TikTok and ensure your music reaches a broader audience on one of the most popular social media platforms today.
