With the DataSift and Kixie Integration, call and SMS events, and call recordings are logged to the Activity Log. Records in DataSift can be updated based on the Call Outcome selected in Kixie.
If you have not set up your Kixie account or downloaded the Kixie Chrome Extension, please see Kixie's Getting Started documentation.
*Note: Kixie can be integrated with one CRM at a time.
If you were a beta tester for the integration and your integration was already installed, you won't see any changes and there's no additional steps you need to take for the integration.
Setting up the Integration
Kixie will set up the integration for you. To set this up just provide them with your DataSift API key located under the Settings -> Integrations -> Kixie section of your DataSift Account.
For new Kixie customers in trial: Let your sales rep know that you are an DataSift customer, and provide them with your API key. They will help you get it set up.
For existing Kixie customers: Reach out to your CSM at Kixie and provide them with your DataSift API key. They will help get this set up for you and let you know once it's complete.
How the Integration Works
With the DataSift + Kixie integration, call and SMS events are logged to the Activity Log:
Call Events:
Owner was called
Call answered (can be answered by contact or voicemail)
Call missed
If the call was recorded, a link to the recording will appear in the Activity Log.
SMS Events:
SMS Sent
SMS Received
You'll also see the actual SMS in the activity log and in the 1:1 SMS section of DataSift.
If you are on DataSift's Business, Expert and AI plan, you'll see all the above Call and SMS Events plus:
Click-to-Call updates phone statuses and adds notes to the Owner's Message Board.
PowerList updates both phone and property statuses and adds notes to the Property Message Board.
Click to Call Sales Dialer
To make a call:
Open the Kixie Chrome Extension.
Click the dialpad icon next to the phone numbers. This will open the call in Kixie's app. If you do not see the dialpad and message icons below, make sure Kixie app is open, then refresh DataSift.
Once the call ends, select a Call Outcome, add any applicable notes, and then click Submit.
If you are on DataSift's Business, Expert, AI plans, the phone status will be updated based on the Call Outcome in Kixie. Notes made will send to the Owner's message board and can be viewed from the Activity log for all properties owned.
Important: The click-to-call sales dialer cannot update property status in DataSift. After you select the call outcome you can manually update the property status within the record in your DataSift account.

PowerLists

To update the property status you must use the PowerList, have the column headers labeled exactly as shown below, and mapped as follows in the custom data section:
Property Address -> Custom1
Property City -> Custom2
Property State -> Custom3
Property Zip -> Custom4
If you are on our Business, Expert and AI plan and have purchased Kixie's PowerLists feature, both property and phone status will be updated in DataSift based on the Call Outcome you select in Kixie. Notes made in the CRM Notes section will be sent to the Property Message Board in DataSift, while notes made in the PowerList section are saved to Kixie only.
