How to manually change the skip tracing status from the Records page

Did you upload data and forget to tell REISift it was skip traced, or forget to enter a date? No problem! You can manually change or update the skip tracing status from the Records page within your REISift account.

First you'll filter for the records you want to update the skip tracing date/status for. You can filter by the unique tag you added on upload, or if these were the only records you uploaded that day, you can filter by upload date and select the date.

Best practice is to also add tags for when and where the records are skip traced. For example, you can add tags for Skip Traced MM/YYYY (Skip Traced 08/2022) and Skip Traced Skip Tracing Company Name MM/YYYY (ex. Skip Traced REISift 08/2022). This is part of our 4 W's of Data Management to help track:

  • Where did it come from?

  • Where is it going?

  • Where has it been?

  • When did it happen?

Once you've added the tags to the records, select the records you want to change the skip tracing date/status for.

Once the records are selected, click Manage and select Last Skip Trace Date.

Next, toggle from Never and select a date, then click Submit.

This will update the skip tracing date for all records you selected.

Simple as that! If you have any questions feel free to message through our support chat by clicking the arrow next to your name in the top right corner, and Talk to us.
