Overview

If you want to give your vacancies more exposure, you can post listings to Facebook Marketplace and Craigslist using RentEngine’s one-click copy tools.

RentEngine prepares your property details, photos, and scheduling links so you can publish quickly without re-writing listings by hand.

What this feature does

RentEngine lets you:

  • Copy a complete marketing description to your clipboard

  • Download all listing photos in one step

  • Include a scheduling link that routes prospects to schedule via RentEngine

You post the listing manually, but RentEngine handles the prep work.

Get your listing content

  1. Go to the Properties tab

  2. Select the property

  3. Click Take actionPost to FB/Craigslist

  4. Click Copy to clipboard

  5. Click Download images

You now have everything needed to create the listing.

Create the Facebook listing

  1. Open Facebook Marketplace

  2. Create a new rental listing

  3. Paste the copied description (including the scheduling link)

  4. Upload the downloaded images

  5. Publish the listing

Most prospects will schedule a showing using the link at the top of the description.

If a prospect messages you directly, reply in Messenger with the scheduling link so they book through RentEngine.

The listing also includes your custom phone number, allowing prospects to text directly into the Command Center.

Important note about Facebook

Facebook Marketplace does not allow businesses to post rental listings from a business page.

Listings must be posted from a personal Facebook account.

Post to Craigslist

Get your listing content

  1. Go to the Properties tab

  2. Select the property

  3. Click Take actionPost to FB/Craigslist

  4. Click the Craigslist button

  5. Click Copy to clipboard

  6. Click Download images

Create the Craigslist listing

  1. Open Craigslist

  2. Create a new rental listing

  3. Paste the copied description

  4. Upload the downloaded images

  5. Publish the listing

As with Facebook, the scheduling link routes prospects back into RentEngine.

Best practices

  • Always include the scheduling link so prospects book showings themselves

  • Reply to direct messages with the RentEngine link instead of coordinating manually

  • Repost listings periodically to keep them visible

  • Use Facebook Marketplace and Craigslist as supplemental exposure, not replacements for syndication

Troubleshooting

Prospects message me instead of scheduling
Reply with the scheduling link and ask them to book a showing directly.
