Overview
Sometimes the listing sites may display outdated information, relative to what you have in RentEngine. This guide will show you how to check and update it.
Step 1 - Wait up to 24 hours
RentEngine sends information to the listing sites in real-time but depending on the listing website, it can take up to 24 hours for a change to be reflected.
Step 2 - Check that the listing is coming from RentEngine
Open the listing on the third-party site and scroll to the last sentence of the marketing description.
If the listing is coming from RentEngine, it will always include RentEngine’s SMS opt-in language at the end of the description.
If the SMS opt-in language is missing, the listing is coming from another source, such as:
Your old showing or leasing software
Your property management system
An MLS feed
A manually posted duplicate
Remove or disable the duplicate listing at the source. RentEngine cannot control listings published by other systems.
If the SMS opt-in language is present, please report it to RentEngine (see instructions below)
Reporting issues to RentEngine
If the listing is coming from RentEngine and still looks incorrect, follow the instructions below.
How to report a listing issue
Go to the Intelligence tab
Open the Syndication Status report
Find the affected property
Click Report Listing
Include as much detail as possible:
What’s wrong
Which websites are affected
Screenshots or links
This lets RentEngine directly escalated to the relevant website's technical team.
Note: Please do not report via chat, since that will delay resolution time
What happens after you report it
RentEngine escalates the issue with the listing partner
Updates are posted in real time in Intelligence → Syndication Status
You can check back there for progress and resolution
